TEACHERS SWAP GREAT IDEAS!
The Anybodies Inspires Classroom, Schools, Whole Neighborhoods, and next: the World!
Bode has been on the road and has seen the amazing things that teachers have done to
bring The Anybodies to life.
Renaissance Academy wrote their own adaptation and
performed a full-scale production of it!
Hardee Middle School had a school-wide read of
The Anybodies and turned their hallways into a floor-to-ceiling walk-through of the book!
Each homeroom teacher designed their own doorway to fit with a chapter of the book. During an
author visit, Bode was attacked by paper crickets that fell out of a ceiling-hung book! There
were keys hung from the ceilings and full-sized mid-action portraits of the characters! A curtain that,
when lifted, revealed a spy! And oh, the things made out of books!
Mulrennan Middle School had a tornado spinning out books in the middle of their library!
And Pocopson had an Anybodies sleep-over with a scavenger hunt -- that began with a secret clue,
recorded by Bode!
A book-club mother made Anybodies food items for taste-testing (and to bring some
literary allusions to life)...
Characters made out of flipflops? Yes, yes. And from The Nobodies, there was one
popping out of a tea pot!
